Blackberry is one of the leading mobile phone makers since they have given so many smart phones this past year. Now they have a new product called the Bold-series handset. In the Blackberry Bold 9780 you will find luxury and mobility like never before. This is an update of its predecessor the Bold 9700 which came out the past year but still gets the attention of consumers. Read on to find out what else the company has in store for us.
Each Blackberry phone that is purchased by buyers is made with plenty of advanced and innovative features in order to give them that whole new communication experience. The Bold 9780 is the second phone to have the Blackberry OS 6 after the Torch 9800. The OS in this phone has a Webkit browser to give you that fast 3G connection as well as full-page browsing.

As mentioned earlier, this phone is an update of the Bold 9700 so you can see some big changes with it including the software update to Blackberry OS 6.0. The phone also comes with a 5 mp camera that has an added flash memory of 512MB. Aside from the flash memory, you can also choose to have a storage capacity of 32GB using the expandable memory card feature. This gives you more memory space to store your personal data and multimedia files.
The physical dimensions that this phone has are just about the same as the 9700 which makes it easier to fit into your pocket. It has a durable battery that gives you 6 hours of talk time or 17 days of standby time when you are on 3G. This could be a good upgrade for you if you have an older version.
Since Blackberry mobile phones are the top-of-the-line business devices, they allow you to be more productive since they can give you the latest information about the stock market and other financial data. The Blackberry Bold 9780 can aid you in getting to your destination the fastest way possible especially if you are going to a new country or even to a new state using the GPS navigation feature. There are also other wireless sharing technologies that are found in the newest phones such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and others. The Internet is really fast which lets you download or upload files in just a few seconds.
There are some online mobile phone stores that give great prices for the Blackberry Bold 9780 especially during Christmas time. Try to find these in order to get really good deals.

Truphone today launched a beta of its mobile internet telephony service, Truphone Anywhere, for BlackBerry smartphones. When an international number is dialled, the Truphone software detects what is happening and takes over automatically. Truphone Anywhere will then make a domestic call to local Truphone server and sends to the server the international number being called. The Truphone server then makes an internet call to that number and connects that long-distance internet call with the domestic call the customer pays only for the call to the local Truphone server.

Sling launched the beta app SlingPlayer Mobile. The app lets BlackBerries with 3G or Wi-Fi stream the video from a Slingbox at home and lets the user remote control any source that supports input from the streaming hub. The feature is meant to help commuters catch TV shows they might miss but also lets users access on-demand content from devices like the Apple TV or TiVos. The SlingPlayer app officially requires phones as simple as the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and Pearl Flip 8220 and scales up to very modern BlackBerries like the Bold and the Curve 8900; all of them need at least BlackBerry OS 4.5.

Facebook is a really popular application across all mobile platforms, and the mobile app developers of Facebook have ensured that the BlackBerry contingent should also not feel ignored. Accordingly, Facebook update for Blackberry devices is now available for download and version 1.9 is kicking in to introduce faster speeds and a plethora of new features.
Talk about the new features and the BalckBerry update version 1.9 introduces a search tool, a dedicated inbox, organized listings of friends and pages and an all new navigation bar. These features are already found on the iPhone and Android OS so there is nothing really new about Facebook mobile, but BalckBerry owners who regularly access Facebook will certainly enjoy these changes in place.
You can go ahead and download the updated version right away, that is only if you own a BlackBerry and we will be really glad if you could share your experience with us.

This is disheartening news for the Bell subscribers who posses the BlackBerry 6 update ready handsets as the update will not happen for them until 2011. The information has been confirmed courtesy of a leaked Bell document so there are no second thoughts about this info being some kind of a gimmick.
The list of Bell locked devices which are OS 6 update ready include-Bold 9700, BlackBerry Pearl 3G and the Curve 3G. The only hope then is the Torch which is scheduled to release in October pre-laden with the latest BlackBerry OS.
It is difficult to comprehend the exact reason behind these unusually long OS update delays which annoys no one but the users to the hilt.

What i don`t like: The Pearl Flip 8220 doesn’t offer 3G support or GPS. The SureType keyboard also takes some acclimation.
