Apple is in the mood to ready an intermediate device to the iPhone 4, and that device may hit the market as early as 2011. Indeed, there will not be one, but a number of devices which will arrive bearing the Apple logo and the iPhone branding. Just for comparison sakes, these new iPhones will be available as a range like the iPod and thus Apple will be able to cater to the affordability issues.
This isn’t a direct revelation from Cupertino for otherwise the web would have lit up with this news, but an assessment from Shaw Wu, an analyst at Kaufman Bros. His conclusion is based on his information derived from sources in the supply chain of Apple.
Shaw believes that with the advent of the varied screen size iPhones, Apple will end its exclusivity with AT&T and the other three major US carriers will come into the picture
