European wireless provider 3 announced it will soon launch its INQ1 handset, integrating Facebook by delivering alerts and synchronizing contacts with their Facebook profiles. The phone uses a 2.2-inch screen with 320×240 resolution and has a 3.2-megapixel camera. It has 50MB of internal memory, along with support for memory cards up to 4GB in size. The browser will rotate into a landscape view thanks to a built-in gyroscope when the phone is rotated horizontally.
The INQ, thus far available in silver only, was developed by 3 owner Hutchinson, though no pricing information nor specific release dates have been announced. It is expected to cost under £99 without a contract, which is the equivalent of about $150.
