Big Red is awaiting an Iconic Device pre-order on November 9 and it is even beefing up its staff including what’s believed to be a near doubling of the service staff assigned to handle number porting requests. The source of information which has re-triggered the Apple iPhone arrival on Verizon talks is a snapshot of an internal document from Verizon which talks about an Iconic Device.
The confusion though is the Motorola Droid Pro also arrives on November 9, but then you really have to ask yourself if Verizon can consider the Droid Pro as an Iconic Device. It can be dubbed Iconic in the sense that the Droid Pro will be a first real Android based handset designed for enterprises. But then, you also got to consider the Droid Pro being a niche market device which surely needs no staff beefing.
We just hope all this hubbub is about the iPhone being readied for a Verizon pre-order beginning November 9!
