T-Mobile on Tuesday unveiled a new version of the Sidekick, and with it, a completely customizable shell design, which users can choose from a number of pre-designed colors and templates, or create their very own personalized device. Available by default in black or green, the Sidekick can be detailed with personal photos or graphic art, as well as a host of text, shapes, icons, and logos.
In addition, the new Sidekick supports Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and comes with a two-megapixel camera, 512MB of microSD storage, and a wide 2.6-inch display with a 400×240 resolution similar to that of the earlier Sidekick LX.
Spanish-language users will be interested to know that the device features an integrated Spanish interface, which can be switched to through the Sidekick’s menu system.
The T-Mobile Sidekick is available starting today in select stores and online for $150 with a two-year contract and $300 while contract-free.
