Samsung announced the commercial availability of the Samsung Wave (Model: S8500) in European countries, including Germany, France and the UK. Unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2010, the Wave is the first smartphone based on Samsung’s new, open smartphone platform, bada, and is the cornerstone of the company’s commitment to ‘smartphone democratization.’
Here are the specs for the Samsung Wave.
* 1GHz ARM processor
* 3.3-inch OLED Screen
* Samsung Bada with TouchWiz 3.0
* 720p video capable, with DivX support
* 5-mega pixel camera
* 2 or 8GB of internal memory, depending on your SKU
* GSM bands – 850/900/1800/1900 MHZ
* HSPA bands – 900/2100 MHZ
